More than an education website

  • Parents
  • Students
  • Private schools
  • Teachers
  • Education consultants
  • Educational product providers

Eduplana is an education technology and commerce platform. Our ambition is to become a digital marketplace that connects parents, students, private schools, teachers, education consultants and educational product providers, so they can discover, access and buy the products and services they need.

Our advantage is that we are not building another education website. We are building a digital commerce ecosystem for the education sector, where people can find solutions to their educational needs and complete transactions on one platform.

From advocacy to a platform

We started by making education data impossible to ignore. We are now putting the same data to work for the families and schools who use it every day.

  1. 2017

    A civic tech organisation

Eduplana is founded in Lagos to promote accountability and transparency in Nigeria's education sector.

  2. Since then

    Data into action

Infographics and campaigns, including #EducationFund, #SaveLautech, #StudentInjustice and #OutofSchoolChildren, published in newspapers and shared with radio partners.

  3. Today

    Schoolsbase

A directory that helps parents find and compare 7,375 private schools on fees, curriculum and facilities, and helps schools keep their own details right.

  4. Next

    A marketplace for education

One place for families, schools, teachers and providers to find what they need and complete the transaction.

Areas our advocacy has covered

  • Education financing
  • Public school needs assessment
  • Education policy reform
  • Teachers' welfare
  • Universities' autonomy
  • State education funding

Portrait of Babatunde Adegbite

Babatunde Adegbite

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

Tunde believes every child deserves a fair shot at a good education, and that the first step to fixing a problem is being able to see it clearly.

That conviction led him to co-found Eduplana, which began as an NGO using data visualisation to advocate for better education in Nigeria. By turning raw numbers into stories that policymakers, schools and communities could understand, Eduplana made the case for change impossible to ignore. Today, Tunde is building that mission into a platform designed to help educators, parents and organisations plan, track and improve learning outcomes.

He brings rare depth to the work. Over more than ten years as a software engineer, Tunde has designed and built products for businesses and users across Nigeria, the United States, Spain and the United Kingdom, from consumer platforms to complex enterprise tools. He currently leads engineering initiatives at a technology company building AI-powered products.

His path into tech was not a straight line. He holds a degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, and built his engineering career through determination and self-teaching. That journey drives his commitment to opening doors for others: in the United Kingdom he volunteers his time helping refugees and people from low-income backgrounds build the skills to start careers in tech, and he mentors many young developers as they grow in confidence and craft.

Beyond technology, Tunde is a leader at The Elevation Church UK, where he serves and strengthens the community. He lives in Greater Manchester.

At Eduplana, his goal is simple: put clear, honest data in the hands of the people shaping children's futures, and give them the tools to act on it.
